We are happy to welcome you to the homepage for Boroondara Cricket Club, a well established cricket club in Melbourne’s inner east. Located at the picturesque Victoria Road Reserve in Hawthorn, we offer many opportunities for senior and junior players seeking both serious and social forms of cricket.
We have 5 seniors sides entered for the 2018-19 season, including 2-day sides and a 1-day side. We also have and a Vets side for over 40’s that play on Sundays every second week.
Our seniors play on Saturday afternoons and train Tuesday and Thursday nights between 6.00 – 7.30 pm, with team selections following Thursday night’s training.
One of the things that we pride ourselves on at Boroondara is the development of our players, whether you’re a keen cricketer wanting to improve your game, or will be donning the pads for the very first time, our coaches and club members are there for you.
Boroondara Cricket Club boasts one of the largest junior programs in the Eastern Cricket Association, with 20 sides including Under 10′s, 12′s, 14′s and 16′s and girls, as well as a very successful Milo In2Cricket and T20 Blast development program for the younger ones. As a club we put a strong emphasis on junior development, that’s why we have invested a lot of our resources on new equipment and coaches in order to help develop our younger players. This culminated last year in many Boroondara players being selected to represent the ECA in their selected ages, a feet that we are very proud of!
Our juniors train once a week between Monday and Thursday, depending on a time that works out best for each team. Under 10′s play on Sunday mornings, 12′s on Saturday mornings, girls on Wednesday afternoons with Under 14′s and 16’s on Friday nights after school.
Our home ground is Victoria Road Reserve, located on Victoria Road in Hawthorn. We are conveniently located across the road from Auburn Train Station, which runs along the Belgrave/Lilydale/Alemain lines
